7 Situations that are best without any Cellphones

Even though we can bring our cellphones into every situation – doesn’t mean that we should! Many people can’t figure out this new standard of appropriateness, so here are the 7 situations that should be on the no-phone list…

1. Waiting in the grocery store queue: It’s a little thing to interact with the cashier, but it could add some brightness to your day as well as theirs, so put the phone away – it’s also help you concentrate on what you’re doing!

2. When you’re driving: Everyone should know this one! Even if you’re at a stop street, robot or driving a route you’ve done a million times, put your cell phone away to keep yourself safe as well as whoever else is on the road.

3. During a meal on a date: There is nothing worse than seeing a couple on a date, but they’re both fiddling on their smartphones and rarely making eye contact with each other. Unless it’s a disaster sate and you’re trying to get out of it – put your phone away!

4. When you’re out and about in nature: The surroundings are beautiful, birds are chirping and you can see the ocean, BUT you’re too busy figuring out which filter to use on the photo you just took for Instagram. Don’t commit this sin – snap the photo but keep the posting for later.

5. While you’re enjoying time with your children: Always remember that your children learn from watching you, if you’re constantly chatting on your phone, their focus will turn to your smartphone and they’ll think – Mommy’s got it and so has daddy, I want it too.

6. During a one-on-one conversation: You know when someone’s telling you a story, but you really, really want to check something quick? Well, stop doing that!

7. In a meeting: In theory, you should probably be taking notes on the meeting or checking if your schedules clear, but we all know that you’re probably just refreshing your Facebook feed!
