Cortana – How is she better than Siri and Google Now?

It is only recently that Microsoft has entered the battle of the virtual assistants; it seems each one is focused on becoming better than the others, but how does Cortana compare to Siri and Google Now and is she any better?

Quiet Hours: 

This is a great feature Cortana has to offer, it lets you choose the hours when your calls will go straight to voicemail, letting you focus on your work and other tasks you are busy with. Text messages are also included in this feature; if you want your close friend’s phone calls to still come through you can just add them to your “Inner Circle.”

She asks you questions: 

Cortana is not like the other virtual assistants, why? Because she asks you questions too. As soon as you start Cortana up she will ask you some questions that are actually quite personal, but don’t get too flattered she is simply asking you these questions so your search results are more suited to you.

Reminders: 

You can set reminders with Google Now and Siri, but Cortana lets you set reminders for when you’re communicating with someone. You can set Cortana to remind you to ask your boss for a raise next time you speak to him on the phone.

Third-party apps: 

Cortana is a true digital assistant; she is a gateway to many different apps! Whether you want to check out someone’s profile on Facebook or tweet something on Twitter, just ask and Cortana will make it happen.

Unlike the other virtual assistants, Siri and Google Now, Cortana has a funky “personality” which makes her more of a helper than just something to ask for directions. Siri, Google Now or Cortana? Soon we will really see which the best virtual assistant for your phone is.
