WhatsApp for Windows and Mac has finally been released!

A lot of us have felt that the WhatsApp web option wasn’t really a great idea...

Now there is finally a separate app that can be downloaded on Windows or Mac!

The app has officially been released; however it will only be available on Windows 8 and higher, offering separate versions for 32-bit and 64-bit platforms. It also works like WhatsApp Web – you will have to have WhatsApp installed and active on your mobile device.

How do I download WhatsApp for my PC?

The first step is to follow this link https://www.whatsapp.com/download/ ; from there you can select one of the supported versions to install on your PC. The great thing about this new app is that is can be used from your desktop, so you don’t need to use your browser.

When the installation is done, open the WhatsApp app on your PC and scan the QR barcode to log in.

Here’s how to scan the code:

Android – Chats screen >> Menu >> WhatsApp Web
iPhone 8.1 or higher – Settings >> WhatsApp Web
Windows Phone 8.0 or higher – Chats screen >> Menu >> WhatsApp Web

Users who have the older versions of Windows can’t use the new WhatsApp for PC; however you can still use WhatsApp Web on your browser.
