there are many factors that can affect this issue, some more complex than
others.
It is important that you stop and take the
time to try these five tips…
·
Use On-Screen Keyboard
This is only a temporary solution, but it
works until you get your keyboard working again. You can use the keyboard
easily if you have a touch screen laptop, if not just plug in a USB mouse and
you can use it like that. Go to Start –
All Programs – Accessories – Ease of Access – On-screen Keyboard.
·
Reboot your Laptop
You may think it’s going to be expensive
and difficult to fix your keyboard, but sometimes it can be fixed with one easy
step. All you have to do is reboot your laptop! If this doesn’t work, try one
of the other solutions below.
·
Clean out Crumbs / Dust / Dirt
Eating your ham and cheese sarmie in front
of your laptop may be convenient, but dropping crumbs into your keyboard can do

System Restore
Your laptop should be automatically
creating restore points on a regular basis. Try and go back to a restore point
when your keyboard was working. This will only fix the issue if it is a
software problem.
·
Hardware Problems
If none of the previous tips have worked
for you, then it may be a hardware problem. NEVER open up your laptop and try
and fix the problem yourself, this will probably cause more damage! Rather call
