Why charging you Cell Phone on your Bed is Dangerous

For those of you who put your phone underneath your pillow or on your bed while it is charging – be warned. Doing this could be a dangerous hazard!

Even though it may be convenient to sleep with your device close at hand where you can hear it or feel it vibrating, it is definitely not worth the risk. Recent incidents have occurred where fires have been caused due to overheating.

Studies show that more than half of teenagers and children charge their phone or tablet either on their bed or under their pillow. The danger of doing this is that the heat from the phone charger cannot escape, resulting in the charger becoming hotter and hotter, ending in your bed or pillow catching fire.

This is extremely dangerous, so make sure to double check where your friends and family are charging their mobile devices.

Instead of keeping your cell phone under your pillow, place it on your bedside table or desk while it charges. An even better idea is to place it as far away as possible (even outside your bedroom!) so that it does not distract you from your beauty sleep.
