Keep your pants on, because here comes the belt that can actually charge your smartphone! Its called the XOO Belt, powered by Nifty and it could be the wearable technology for you. Forget about constantly looking for a power point to recharge your phone, the XOO Belt is everything you need – a handy, battery charger that is crammed inside a belt! It’s definitely better than carrying around a charger in your pocket or hunting for a plug when you’re out and about; here are all the details about the useful device.

How it works

Inside the XOO belt you’ll find a flexible, invisible 1300mAh battery plus the buckle has another battery inside it that has 800mAh, this is enough power to make sure you’re smartphone is juiced up wherever you go.

The charging wire is hidden on the inside of the belt when it’s not being used, when your phone needs to be charged jus flick it down, plug it in and slip your phone into your pocket!

The Belt
The great thing about the XOO Belt is that it’s not a hassle to wear a belt, most people wear one every day, it looks good and it’s a lot handier than filling your bag or pockets with portable chargers etc. The XOO Belt is a wearable that you’ll actually want to wear; here are some of its cool features:

The Buckle
Each of the buckles have two charging points, to transfer in and out, the company also decided to use a ratchet buckle mechanism to make sure our belt is secure, not to mention it is made from zinc for a beautiful, solid finish.

The buckle is especially designed to make sure you look good and to ensure that you can charge your phone efficiently, the cool thing is there are five LED lights hidden on the upper side of the buckle to show you how much battery you have remaining.

The Nifty XOO Belt is packed with power, although currently it is still a project on the crowd funding site Indiegogo, if you want one it’s not the cheapest external battery around, but it’s definitely a great idea!
