Sony Pictures nightmare hacking
By now you have probably heard that Sony Pictures has been
hacked, and recent reports have said that North Korea is the main suspect for
the hacking. Although they have denied the accusations, they said in a
statement that the situation is a “righteous deed”, but some new details have
been revealed!
It looks like the leak of Sony Picture’s details could have
actually originated from Bangkok, Thailand. The attack has been traced and it
leads to the five-star St. Regis hotel! The attackers could have used the hotel’s
high-speed internet, and if this is true then we now all know where the attack
began, but not who did it.
So it has been continuous misery for the company, they have
suffered one of the most damaging and embarrassing security breaches in
history. It is not just an attack on the company, with computers disabled and a
few DVD rips stolen and posted on torrent sites, but it is an attack on the
employees and celebrities too. Here is the original hacking and threat:

The group, who call themselves the Guardians of Peace (GOP),
made good on the threat and last week huge amounts of information, was leaked. Unreleased
films, actor’s salaries, payroll data and social security numbers for more than
47 000 employees! Not only that, but they have also threatened to harm the
families of some employees.
What happens now? Well, a security advisor says it’s too
late to do anything to contain the leaking, Sony Pictures will just have to
hope that the worst is behind them and
move on to preparing for the fallout.
The horror of this hack is very real even though it could be
something out of a Hollywood movie! And no matter who is responsible for the
hacking, the next year or so will be a very uneasy time for Sony Pictures, but
maybe one day they’ll make a film about it!
