How to do your Passwords the Right Way!

Having passwords that are unique and strong is tough work; however it is so important to keep yourself safe. However, the password rules we’ve all come to learn actually aren’t helping at all!

Here are the new Do’s and Don’ts of passwords:

DO…

       -          Make your password at least 8 characters long

       -          Consider making your password even longer than 8 characters, the longer the better!

       -          Use a trusted password manager – it’s worth it

DON'T…

       -          Use all those special characters like @’s and $’s they don’t help and they make your password harder to remember

       -          Apply password hints, these just make it easier for the cybercriminals

       -          Ever, ever use the password “1234567”, “ffffffffff”, etc.

       -          Make the password the name of the service you are using, like “yournameYahoo” – this just makes it too easy!

Use these simple tips and not only will it be so much easier for you to remember your passwords, but it will make them stronger to protect against those cybercriminals!
