Are you cleaning your PC/Laptop/TV screen the right way?
Most displays, such as your TV, PC or
laptop need some special attention when it comes to cleaning the screen. Why?
Because most new displays are much more sensitive and can easily be damaged if
you clean them the incorrect way.
Follow these steps and clean your screen
the right way in just a few minutes.
1.
Always turn off your device
first. When the screen is black, it makes it easier to spot the dirty areas. It
also helps to turn your device off if it’s a touchscreen so you don’t end up
pushing random buttons.
2.
Use a soft, dry cloth and wipe
the screen gently. A microfiber cloth or dry eraser are your best options – see
the tips below for more information.
3.
Never push your screen hard to
try and scrub something off, this can damage your display, especially on a
laptop, desktop and LCD/LED TV.
4.
Dampen the cloth you are using
with distilled water, or with water mixed with a little bit of vinegar.
Otherwise you can buy a special spray cleaner for your PC, laptop or TC screen.
5.
The edges around your screen can be cleaned
with regular multipurpose cleaner, but be careful not to make contact with the
screen.
QUICK TIPS:
-
Never use toilet paper, tissues
or your T-shirt to clean your screen – these materials can scratch the display!
-
Avoid using cleaning products
that contain ammonia, alcohol, acetone or ethyl. These ingredients can cause
all kinds of damage to your screen.
-
NEVER spray liquid on the
screen directly, this could leak into the device and damage it.
Make sure you clean your PC monitor, laptop
or TV screen the RIGHT way!
