Social Media Rules EVERYONE in a Relationship should follow
When you become that couple that fights
about liking an ex’s photos on Facebook or posting too often on Instagram, then
it’s time to take a step back and set some good old social media rules…
No phones during dates
·
When you have a date, it’s a
time to spend quality time with your partner, not with a hundred Facebook
friends and Instagram followers. Keep your phone on silent or out of sight to
resist scrolling during dinner time.
Unplug at a certain time
·
When you check your phone
constantly before you go to sleep it can really upset our sleep schedule. Set a
certain time at night when you both turn your phones off, or put them away.
Ask before you post something
·
This is just general common
courtesy. They might not want everyone seeing that embarrassing photo of them in
the bath tub that you thought was so cute – be safe and ask!
Don’t follow your ex if it upsets your
current partner
·
Unless you are still good
friends with your ex and they’re in your current social circle, then the ship
has sailed and there is no need to follow them anymore.
Don’t like their photos either
·
Keep your social circle to
people that you are actually still friends with. Your partner may be insecure
about online affairs, especially if you like and comment on all of your exes
photos.
Take it with a pinch of salt
·
A happy couple will post less
about their relationship because they are happy enough and do not feel the need
to compare themselves to others.
The more we still and look at social media
posts, the more we will feel our lives aren’t as good or exciting as others –
take everything with a pinch of salt and remember these important social media
rules!
