Fitness tech to help you work off the Easter chocolate!

So we've just come back to work after the long weekend, and most of us have definitely overdone it! What you need right now is some tech to help you get fit again! Here are some gadgets that will put a spring in your step and help you get rid of all the Easter chocolate you ate…

1. Healbe Gobe
This gadget claims it can detect how many calories you've eaten by measuring them through your skin! The cool thing is you don’t have to type in what you've eaten, or enter any calorie information… and if it works, it’ll be amazing. This wrist-worn gadget will monitor your heart rate, track any activity and analyses the quality of your sleep. It definitely sounds like a wonder gadget.

2. Fitbit Surge
This super watch is more than adept at tracking your fitness stats. It will keep tabs on your running, cross training, cardio workouts and soon also log your bike rides. In the Fitbit app you will receive your average speed, heart rate and calories burned, plus you can also review your rides. The great thing is it lasts seven days before needing to be recharged, and it works with Android and iOS.

3. Jabra Sport Pulse
These cool headphones have a built in heart rate monitor, so when you get back from your run you can see how hard you were working – very clever! Not to mention they are comfortable, secure and are water, shock and dust resistant. They connect to your phone wirelessly, so you can keep them in your pocket or strapped to your arm and not have to worry about the cord.

4. HCi Viocare Smart Insole
All you have to do is simply pop this in your training shoe, and it will analyse your running stats like: distance covered, speed, calories burned etc., but also look at your gait. Are you worried you’re guilty of over-pronation? This will tell you! Not only will it help you to improve your technique and get much faster, but it will also put you on the road to avoid injuries and help those Kgs fall right off… No one will ever guess you spent Easter with your head inside a box of marshmallow eggs.

5. Jawbone UP24
So, it doesn’t have screen, or expensive watch credentials, but the UP24 is one of the best bits of fitness tech your wrist could ask for! It works with proper fitness apps like MyFitnessPal, Runkeeper and Withings, these are used by die-hard runners all over the world. So, the fitness tracking is excellent, and the simple styling is just great too – it’s functional enough to take out on a run, but elegant enough to wear out on the town!

Losing that extra weight from the Easter weekend can be a lot more fun with the right kind of gadgets. After all, it is the 21st century, so better technology and gear make our lives easier and a lot cooler!
