The Revo One Mini vs The Mac Mini

Although both these computers are small, they still pack a big punch. The bubbly little Revo One mini PC, gives the impression that it’s a machine with little power, but that is far from the truth! Through its HDMI and Mini Display Port, the little Revo One is capable of big things, like 4K Ultra high definition picture and 7.1-channel surround sound.

Like the latest 2014 Mac Mini, the Revo One makes for a perfect home entertainment machine. It can be configured with Intel Core i3 or Core i5 processors, and while it doesn't look like it has much room, it has three 2.5-inch hard drives. The hard drives are all easily user-swappable, unlike the Mac Mini’s, which requires a whole lot more disassembling.

Each one of the drives can have a maximum capacity of 2TB, totaling 6GB. The second and third drives can be set up as backups in RAID 0, 1 and 5.

Around the back of the Revo One Mini, the adorable PC has two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, HDMI 1.4 and Mini Display Port. Plus, an SD card slot inserts into a slot on the top like a little piggy bank, not to mention it has got built in WiFi!

A few things the Revo One can do that the Mac Mini cant is… Users can control it with an iOS or Android smartphone app, stream content from phones to it, and connect to their own personal cloud made up from a network of their own Acer and non-Acer smartphones and tablets.

Here are some of the SPECS for the Acer Revo One Mini for 419 Dollars:
- An Intel Celeron 1.4GHz dual-core processor
- 2GB of RAM
- 60GB solid-state drive (SSD)
- Windows 8.1 with Bing

And some of the SPECS for the Acer Revo One Mini for 1,099 Dollars:
- A higher-specced Intel Core i5 2.2GHz dual-core processor
- 8GB of RAM
- 2TB hard drive
- Windows 8.1

The Acer Revo One is definitely in the lead in this battle. And even though both these mini PCs may be tiny in size, they both have really big power!
