Facebook just made it easier to talk to strangers
If is now possible to
chat with strangers you’re not friends with on Facebook. The social media
network is planning on launching a new feature for Messenger called Message Requests, allowing people to receive or ignore messages from people they aren’t
friends with.
At the moment,
messages that are sent by people who aren’t your friends are relocated to the “Other”
inbox, a separate section within the messages tab on Facebook. These messages
are kind of easy to miss.
With Message Requests,
which is rolling out over the next few days, Facebook will streamline how these
types of messages are handled. Messages that previously would have been sent to
“Other” will now appear within Messenger as a request. So, you can read the
message and choose whether or not you want to respond without the other person
knowing.
Basically, you can now
to talk to anyone in the world; all you need is their name! David Marcus, who
heads up Messenger at Facebook notes that the new feature will only apply to
new messages from people you don’t know. Messages from any of your Facebook
friends, friends who have your number and those who you’ve already exchanged
messages with, will go straight into your normal inbox.
It has been hinted
that there are much more changes to come from the messenger team in the months
ahead as Facebook continues to improve ways to find people you want to
communicate with.
Are you happy about
the fact that Facebook just made it a lot easier to talk to people you’re not
friends with? What do you think?

Wow, cool post. I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real hard work to make a great article… but I put things off too much and never seem to get started. Thanks though. talk to random people online
