See the amazing new Facebook reactions

Yes, it’s true the Facebook reactions are finally here! This means that you can new respond to someone’s status or picture with Love, Haha, Wow, Sad or Angry in addition to the original Like.

If you’re not seeing those options in your News Feed yet, here’s how to get them.

On desktop – On the browser version of Facebook, simply just hover over the Like button and the new reactions will pop up in a little bar above. Just be careful because it’s very easy to accidentally “Wow” someone’s status accidentally.

Once you use the new reactions, each post will show the top three reactions it received. By clicking on those reactions it will give you a breakdown on how many people have used each one. Even though you can only use one reaction to respond to a post, you can always change it if you change your mind later.

On mobile – In the Facebook mobile app, you might need to close the app completely and reopen t before the reactions appear. Once you hit the Like button on a post, a message will appear that instructs you to hold down on that button to bring up the other reactions. So, don’t be upset if you don’t see the reactions immediately.

At this point, it seems like the new reactions are only available to use on posts, pictures and videos – not on any individual comments.
