The new Pixie system is not like all the other devices which track your belongings digitally, it uses tags to display an actual map that shows you where your things are.

So how does it work? The Pixie comes with a few different trackers that connect to each other. This means you have to put a Pixie tag on your phone AND your keys / wallet / pet etc. in order for the tags to find each other and for you to find what you’re looking for.

Your Smartphone is important when it comes to using the Pixie tags because you need the app to find your belongings. By using augmented reality and your phone’s camera it can find the location of the Pixie tags and display where they are using colourful dots.

There is a negative to the Pixie tags; they use a battery that can’t be replaced, so after a year they will eventually die. However this problem isn’t massive compared to all the great things about the Pixie tags. What could be more convenient than having a map of all your important belongings on your phone?
