Mind-controlled tech we’ll hopefully never see!
It’s true, the world’s
first mind-controlled car is here and to be honest it sounds quite scary! Just
imagine not having to hold the wheel of your car, but it will respond to your
every thought, it might not be an entirely good idea.
There are plenty of
gadgets that would probably be worse if they were controlled by mind though…
Mind-controlled TV
The mind controlled TV
could be perfect. You would never have to search behind the couch or in between
the cushions for the remote again, plus you won’t have to worry about replacing
the batteries all the time. You could switch channels instantly, but there’s a
negative side to that – what if your mind wonders? You could end up watching
different channels every five minutes.
Mind-controlled cooker
In a lot of ways a
mind-controlled cooker is a great idea. Imagine how easy it would be to prepare
dinner by simply thinking of what your want to make. But, in other ways it
could be a complete nightmare. What happens if you start thinking about food in
the middle of the night, would the cooker then start preparing a massive meal
for you at 3am? Until we’ve seen how good the tech is, we’ll stick with normal
ovens!
Mind-controlled gaming
Playing games without
having to reply on buttons or movement would actually be quite cool, but it
could also mean a massive step back in terms of actually having fun! If you
take the mind controlled route, there will be no need for movements or actions,
and it would be sad to lose one of the more interactive parts of gaming. Just
look at Wii and the games it offers – its fantastic fun, especially when you’re
actually doing the movements! It won’t be nearly as much fun if you’re just
thinking the actions.
Hopefully we will
never see any of these mind-controlled gadgets! What tech would you like to see
controlled by only your thoughts?
