Breaking News: You can now order food on Facebook!
From providing a place to post vacation photos to
letting you catch up with old college roommates, social media is all about
staying connected. But unlike Instagram or Twitter, Facebook recently upped the
ante by adding food ordering to its list of accomplishments.
It’s simple: You can place a takeout or delivery order right
on a restaurant’s Facebook page (as long as they’re using Delivery.com or
Slice). Just navigate to the page and click the Start Order button
and a menu will appear. Users can add a payment method, select a delivery
address and submit their order, all without navigating away from their news
feed.
So next time you’re scrolling through your feed and stop on
a pic of your friend’s gorgeous pizza pie, order your own. It’s multitasking at
its finest!
