Virtual Reality App for Drunk Driving
Virtual Reality is amazing. It can take you to a faraway land, alien spaceship, haunted mansion or a chase with the police.
Now, the company (Diageo) which created the alcohol brands, such as Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff and Guinness is working on a Virtual Reality video that will show you how the lives of a drunk driver and people on the road are affected.
The chief marketing and innovation officer from Diageo said: "Virtual reality technology provides a powerful new opportunity to emphasize the importance of celebrating responsibly. Enabling people to experience what it's like to be the passenger in a car being driven by a drunk driver may resonate more with participants than disturbing statistics and crash photos.”
The company didn’t mention how much this VR project was costing them, but they consider it to a vital marketing and life-saving project that they hope scares enough people to change their attitude and stop driving under the influence.
