How to find out if you’ve been Hacked

It’s easy to get bored with all these stories of data hacks and what not, but when it actually does happen to you, you’ll want to give it your full attention. If you ever want to find out if one of your accounts, like your social media accounts has been hacked, there are some easy to use tools that can help you out!

Have I Been Pwned? This is a cool site that monitors website breaches, hacks and so much more. All you have to do is enter your email address or username. I’m not sure if it is 100% legit, but it’s worth a try!

Have I Been Pwned covers a variety of hacked sites, including Myspace, LinkedIn,Dropbox, tumblr and Adobe. If you think that your account really has been hacked, check it immediately and change the password.

It is always a good idea to turn on the two-step verification if you haven’t done it already. Remember, it you use the same email and password for all your accounts it makes them easier to hack! Hackers are clever enough to try your email and password combination on all other sites and services.

There are a lot of other helpful sites that can help you to determine where you have been hacked or not, but Have I Been Pwned is one of the easiest and the best, plus its free!
