What NOT to do with your Phone this Festive Season
Everyone misplaces their phone at one point in their lives,
but losing or breaking it before the festive season could be an absolute
disaster. What are you going to do during Christmas dinner if you can’t play Candy
Crush under the table?
You can prevent your phone from being misplaced by looking
at the likely situations and thinking about how to avoid them in the first
place.
Don’t leave it on top of your car before you start driving
to Grandma’s house: This sounds like a really dumb thing to do, but losing your
phone any way is pretty dumb in general. Make a note to check that your phone is with
you in the car before you start driving.
Don’t leave it in an Uber or taxi on your way home from a
party: Christmas parties, taxi rides and alcoholic beverages are a bad mix in
regards to your phone. Always double check that you have your phone before
getting out of your Uber or taxi.
Don't leave it on the airplane: Thousands of devices are lost
each year when passengers make the silly decision to put their smartphone in
the little pouch on the back of the seat. Rather put your phone in your bag if
you need to free up your hands for something else, like eating, drinking or
reading.
Don't drop it in the toilet during the night at a Christmas
party: You’ve had way too much eggnog and all of a sudden you’re looking in the
toilet at your phone. You can always try the bag of rice your best friend gave
you as a gift, but there’s no guarantee that will work. The best thing to do is
to make sure there is no water around when you’re using your phone.
