5 high-tech ways to make your wedding day even more memorable

There are many little moments a bride and groom will inevitably miss on their very busy wedding day. Our Johannesburg branch is run by Natascha, who recently got married this year, so here’s some creative ways to capture those candid and unique moments beyond a traditional photographer and videographer…

Action Cameras – GoPros aren’t just for extreme sports anymore. More brides are tucking action cams into their bouquets to film from a point of view that wouldn’t otherwise be captured. One idea is to attach one to the disco ball at the reception or even an alcohol bottle to see candid moments from your guests.

Selfie Sticks – Selfie sticks are everywhere, and even though you may not like them – they really help take better pictures! Plus, seeing your wedding day captured through the eyes of your guests is a great way to document the day. Buy a bunch of them and have them accessible to guests.

GIF Photo booth – Photo booths are popular at weddings, but now there’s a twist: GIF booths. The Camera takes quick bursts of photos and strings them together to form a stop-motion-style clip. Guests can instantly upload their GIFs to social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.

Drones – Couples are taking wedding photos and videos to new heights with drones that capture stunning aerial shots. But check with the venue for legal reasons first due to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. It's also important to remember that they can be noisy, and you should avoid flying them too close over the heads of guests for obvious reasons.

Smartphone charging stations – Your guests will be snapping photos and taking videos throughout the day. So, you can set up a spot for them to charge their devices as a thoughtful addition.

While your wedding day should be more about the marriage to be than anything else, there’s nothing more fun than adding a few surprises here and there to deliver the unexpected to your guests.
