4 Top Tips if you’re changing from Mac to Windows
With Apple making some pretty extreme
design choices in their new MacBooks, people have started to look towards the
Windows side of life.
The switch from Mac to Windows won’t be an
easy one, but in the end it’ll definitely be worth it.
Here’s how to make the change as smooth as
possible…
Have some Patience
In order to get used to something you need
to give it time, just like when you buy a new car, it’ll take a few weeks to
form new habits. Simple things such as using the Start button or using the
keyboard may be a struggle as first, but pretty soon you’ll relearn everything.
Learn the Trackpad
The major difference from a Mac to a
Windows PC is definitely the trackpad. Most Windows PC’s have a poor trackpad
compared to how great the MacBook trackpad, so when you buy your new laptop try
and choose one with a Microsoft Precision Touchpad.
Look at all your Options
The great thing about a Windows PC is that
they come in so many shapes and forms, meaning way more options depending on
how you’d like to use it. With a Mac you’re very limited, but with Windows you
can get a regular laptop, a 2-in-1 that can transform into a tablet and even a
laptop where you can take off the screen completely. Along with all the design
varieties you also get different features as well as specifications, options,
etc.
Don’t be shocked by the Design
Windows is known to be much better designed
and functional than it once was a few years ago. On the odd day though, you may
open up an app or a menu and all your good feelings will disappear. Even those
who are 100% happy with the design of Windows still need to learn how to do
everything.
Windows PCs are by far the superior
compared to Macs, with so many options and sleek models, why would you choose
Mac in the first place?
