Is this the World’s Thinnest Laptop?
Have you ever seen a laptop that is only
10.9mm thick? Well, the new Asus Zenbook Flip S was revealed on Monday and it looks
like it is the world’s thinnest convertible laptop so far!
You may think you’ve seen thin when you
look at the Apple MacBook Air, however it measures in at 17mm and the slim HP Spectre x360 comes in at 13.8mm.
Not only is the Zenbook Flip S as thin as a
toothpick, it also boasts some pretty awesome features including a 360 degree
hinge, a fingerprint security sensor, 4K display, USB-C ports and onscreen pen
input. Plus it is as light as a feather weighing in at only 1.1kg.
But, how durable can a skinny laptop like
this really be?
Asus answered this question by saying that
the convertible laptop is able to handle a life time of being opened and closed
continuously. So it’ll be more than a perfect laptop for the average user.
"Our brand-new ZenBook and VivoBook
line-up provides everyone with a new definition of thin, beautiful and powerful
laptops." - Asus Chairman, Jonney Shih.
