The new LG AKA phone that has mood swings

Do you keep up with the latest technology? well at this year’s World IT Show in Korea, LG announced a brand new concept phone. The new device that goes by the name LG AKA is a smartphone that apparently has different moods, along with a pair of staring eyes, creepy or cool?

LG describes this unique phone as personal and customizable; the customizable part just means that you can change the back panel with a different coloured one, what’s personal about the phone is a bit stranger and I think a little creepy. The phone is shown to have two huge eyes peaking out from above the protective panel, not only that but they express different emotions and moods!

The moods of the LG AKA will change according to how you use the phone, such as the alarm, what music you have and different apps. Say for example you have tons of games, then the AKA will have a happy, cheerful expression and if you store documents and download office apps, it’ll have more of a serious look.

I don’t know too much about the device, but I don’t know how in feel about having a large pair of eyes staring back at me from my phone. Fortunately after the launch next month the LG AKA will probably not show up in any other markets except the Asian market because it is a “concept device”, but still it would be interesting to see at least a video of how it works.

It’s not surprising that LG has come up with such a unique concept, think about the LG G Flex from last year and the older LG Flutter, so easy to see a phone like the LG AKA doing well in South Korea, but not so much anywhere else. It’s definitely an interesting idea, but does the idea of having your phone copy your emotions sound fun and cool? Or just a tad too bizarre?
